Mamatha Chamarthi, who held the role of Chief Software Business Growth Officer at Stellantis, has resigned from the company with immediate effect, as confirmed by a company spokesperson in an email to Automotive Dive on Monday.
Chamarthi had been leading Stellantis’ global software business since February 2021. Previously, she served as Chief Digital Officer at automotive supplier ZF Group from 2016 to 2019, and as Chief Digital Information Officer for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now part of Stellantis) from 2019 to 2021.
A spokesperson for Stellantis mentioned that Chamarthi left to pursue other opportunities.
In her place, Cristiani Campos has been appointed. Campos, based in Detroit, will report directly to Stellantis’ Chief Software Officer, Yves Bonnefont.
“We are pleased to announce Cristiani Campos’ promotion to lead our software business and elevate it as part of Stellantis DF2030 strategic plan,” the spokesperson stated in an email to Automotive Dive. “Cristiani brings an exceptional track record in business development in Latin America and Taiwan, coupled with a strong financial background.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, Campos most recently served as CFO of SiliconAuto, a joint venture between Stellantis and Foxconn focused on designing and manufacturing chips for future software-driven vehicle platforms. Before that, she held the position of Head of Business Development for Stellantis South America.
Executive changes at Stellantis began in January with the announcement of Carlos Zarlenga replacing Mark Stewart as Chief Operating Officer for North America, effective February 1. The company did not disclose the reason for Stewart’s departure.
In February, Stellantis restructured its corporate sales division in North America to enhance focus on both B2B and B2C sales, leading to new executive appointments effective March 1.
In May, Stellantis announced new leadership for its Dodge and Ram brands, along with other appointments to its global leadership team. This included Christine Feuell taking on the dual role of Chrysler CEO and Ram CEO following Timothy Kuniskis’ retirement.
Stellantis also appointed Luca Napolitano as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer starting June 1, Olivier Bourges as Chief Customer Experience Officer, and Clara Ingen-Housz as Head of Global Corporate Office and Public Affairs.
